Fox Launches First Flying Tiger Copenhagen Stores in Toronto, Expanding Danish Brand in Canada
Fox Group recently opened the first Canadian store of the Danish design accessories chain Flying Tiger Copenhagen at the CF Toronto Eaton Center. Over the weekend, Fox launched a second store at Vaughan Mills shopping center and plans to open a third in July at Scarborough Town Centre. Additional stores are expected to open in Toronto's Square One and Markville malls in the second half of 2026.
Fox secured the Canadian license for Flying Tiger about a year ago, including rights to operate stores and an online site. The agreement allows Fox to open new stores over five years from 2025 to 2029, with a commitment to open at least four stores by the end of 2025. Although the store openings were delayed by several months, the first locations have now launched.
Fox estimates an initial investment of approximately 3.5 million shekels for the first stores, with a total projected investment of around 40 million shekels for all stores during the initial contract period. This marks Flying Tiger's entry into the Canadian market, while Fox already operates in Canada with brands like Nike, Mango, and Lalin. Fox recently closed Fox Home in Canada after three years due to lack of profitability.
At the Eaton Center opening ceremony, Fox CEO and owner Harel Weizel was joined by Flying Tiger Copenhagen CEO Jens Arup Mikkelsen, Americas CEO Richard White, and local brand CEO Itana Lavin. Founded in Copenhagen in 1995, Flying Tiger operates over 1,000 stores worldwide, offering a colorful range of affordable home, kitchen, office, children’s, and leisure products.
