Israel Faces Intensifying Heatwave With Rising Temperatures and Heavy Heat Loads This Week
Israel is expected to experience a significant heatwave this week, with gradually increasing temperatures and heavy heat loads intensifying towards the weekend. Starting Monday, heat stress will be felt across most parts of the country, with temperatures rising above seasonal norms in some areas.
Monday will bring pleasant weather with temperatures typical for the season, but heat loads will begin to increase nationwide. By Tuesday, temperatures will climb slightly, especially in mountainous regions and inland areas, further intensifying the heat burden. Wednesday and Thursday are forecasted to maintain similar conditions, with persistent heat.
Friday will continue to see moderate to heavy heat loads across most regions. Specific temperature forecasts include nighttime lows of 17 degrees Celsius and daytime highs between 29 and 31 degrees in the mountains around Jerusalem and Safed. Coastal plains such as Tel Aviv and Netanya will experience nighttime temperatures of 20 to 24 degrees and daytime highs ranging from 30 to 32 degrees Celsius, accompanied by high humidity.
Residents are advised to prepare for the increasing heat stress expected throughout the week and take necessary precautions as temperatures rise above typical seasonal levels.
