Yinon Magal Accuses Channel 12 of False Incitement Against Ultra-Orthodox Community

During a broadcast of the show The Patriots on Channel 14, host Yinon Magal sharply criticized Channel 12, accusing it of conducting a false incitement campaign against the ultra-Orthodox community. Magal claimed that Channel 12's actions are politically motivated due to the ultra-Orthodox community's support for the right-wing and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

Magal specifically referenced a previous draft law intended to conscript thousands of ultra-Orthodox men, alleging that Channel 12 actively worked to prevent its passage. He accused the channel of pushing members of the Knesset to vote against the law and running a propaganda campaign against it. Magal pointed out the irony that Channel 12 now complains about the lack of sanctions and the halting of arrests, despite having opposed these measures in the past.

He emphasized that the new draft law contains no arrests, criminal sanctions, or financial penalties, all of which were present in the earlier draft law that Channel 12 opposed. Magal expressed outrage at what he called the "disgrace" of persecuting a sector solely for political reasons. He concluded by stating that the ultra-Orthodox community suffers because of their political alignment with the right and Netanyahu, paying a heavy price for their support.
