Shaaya Lexier and Yosef Geshטetner Release New Duet, “Here”

Singer and songwriter Shaaya Lexier is hosting singer Yosef Geshatner on a new single, “Here.” Lexier wrote and composed the song following the yahrzeit of a close friend.

Shaaya Lexier: “I wrote the song ‘Here’ on the yahrzeit of a close friend, R’ Natan ben R’ Shimon, of blessed memory. What came out from my hands felt like a gift from heaven. The message behind the song is found in its own words: ‘Wherever I go, You go with me. You are my shadow.’

“The Holy One, blessed be He, does not slumber and does not sleep. He guards Israel, present with us at every moment. In every challenge, success, question, and step forward, He is there. He will never leave us. Sometimes, the struggles and tests of life can make a person feel abandoned or alone, heaven forbid. In moments of pain or uncertainty, it seems as though the Holy One, blessed be He, is far away. But the truth is exactly the opposite. דווקא in these moments, He carries us, draws us closer to Him, and also brings us closer to who we are meant to be.

“The journey of life is not only leading us toward growth, the journey itself is growth. Every challenge, every detour, every delay and obstacle holds within it an opportunity to discover strengths we never even knew existed within us. We are never abandoned, and we are never alone.
