The meeting aimed to advance an investigation against Channel 12 News concerning information security breaches. Recently, Ronen Bar changed his stance and requested approval from the Attorney General to investigate the leak, despite initially telling cabinet ministers that there was no legal basis or justification for such an inquiry. The Shin Bet declined to comment on the matter.
