Ashley Owusu Returns to Holon, Strengthening Team Ahead of 2026/27 Season

Ashley Owusu, the top scorer of the 2024/25 Athena Winner League, has signed with Elitzur Holon, marking another high-profile acquisition for the team coached by Roy Lazar. Owusu previously starred for Holon, averaging 22.5 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists per game, achieving a double-double average that season. Afterward, she played for Gorzów in Poland, where she maintained strong stats with 15 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game, and excelled in the EuroCup with averages of 18.7 points, 5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists.

Owusu's 2024/25 season in Israel was her first professional stint outside the United States, following a collegiate career at Penn State where she averaged 17.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists in 2023/24. Her college performance led to her being drafted by the Dallas Wings in the WNBA draft. She joins a Holon roster that includes Stasha Carey, Tanya Atkinson, Eden Rotberg, Tal Lev, Maya Almaliach, Mika Kanitz, Adi Levi, Mia Gedalyahu, and Maya Shalo, significantly bolstering the team's backcourt for the upcoming season.
