Ashley Owusu Returns to Holon, Strengthening Team Ahead of 2026/27 Season

Ashley Owusu, the top scorer of the 2024/25 Athena Winner League, has signed with Elitzur Holon, marking another high-profile acquisition for the team. Owusu previously starred for Holon during the 2024/25 season, averaging an impressive 22.5 points, 10 rebounds, and 5 assists per game, achieving a double-double average for the season. After that season, she played in Poland for Gorzów, where she maintained strong stats with 21 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game in 22 minutes, and excelled in the EuroCup with 18.7 points, 5 rebounds, and 3.2 assists per game.

Owusu’s 2024/25 season in Israel was her first professional year outside the United States. She completed her college career at Penn State in 2023/24, averaging 17.7 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game, which led to her being drafted by the Dallas Wings in the WNBA draft. She now joins a Holon roster that includes Stasha Carey, Tanya Atkinson, Eden Rotberg, Tal Lev, Maya Almaliach, Mika Kanitz, Adi Levi, Mia Gedaliahu, and Maya Shalo, significantly bolstering the team's backcourt ahead of the 2026/27 season.
