Hapoel Haifa Owner Yoav Katz Joins Team at Bulgaria Training Camp

Hapoel Haifa is preparing for its upcoming season with a training camp in Bansko, Bulgaria, starting Monday. The club recently played a 0-0 friendly match against Hapoel Kfar Saba, following an earlier game against Maccabi Netanya. Defender Ariel Mendy, who joined the team recently and trained for the first time yesterday, traveled with the squad but did not participate in the match. The camp will include all squad players and two trialists, Lior Rokach and Piras Agbariya, whose names were revealed for the first time. Defensive midfielder Shik Keita, expected to sign officially for the season after impressing the coaching staff, will also attend.

Notably, club owner Yoav Katz is set to arrive from the United States to meet the players and coaching staff during the camp. Katz has not been in Israel for an extended period, mainly due to security concerns and his business commitments in America. This marks the second consecutive summer he will join the team at their Bulgarian training camp. During the camp, Hapoel Haifa will face Tauuta from the Albanian Premier League and Arkadag, the champions of Turkmenistan, in friendly matches.
