Sheriff Tiraspol Draws Alumini, Next Maccabi Tel Aviv Rival Decided in Slovenia

In the ongoing European competition qualifiers on July 9, Sheriff Tiraspol and Alumini ended their first leg in Moldova with a 0-0 draw. This result means the next opponent for Maccabi Tel Aviv in the second qualifying round will be decided in the upcoming second leg match in Slovenia. Meanwhile, Hungarian club Ferencváros, coached by Blazs Borbey who recently replaced Robbie Keane, secured a 2-1 away victory against Serbian side Vojvodina. Ferencváros took the lead in the 8th minute, Vojvodina equalized just before halftime at the 45th minute, but Ferencváros regained the lead in the 52nd minute through a skillful goal by Yusuf, who cut inside from the left and curled the ball into the left corner. Ferencváros finished second in the Hungarian league last season, behind Győri ETO FC. The win advances Ferencváros to the second qualifying round alongside the winner of the Sheriff-Alumini tie.
