US Conducts Third Consecutive Night of Strikes in Southeastern Iran Including Chabahar
Reports from Iran indicate a series of explosions and attacks across multiple locations in the country's south, including the city of Chabahar in the southeast, as well as Bushehr, Ahvaz, and the Bandar Abbas area near the Strait of Hormuz. This marks the third consecutive night of American military strikes on Iranian territory. Over recent days, the United States has targeted a range of military and infrastructure sites throughout Iran, including air defense systems, missile storage facilities, surveillance installations, and logistical infrastructure.
Following the attacks, former US President Donald Trump stated that Iran had reached out to the US seeking negotiations, though he expressed skepticism about their sincerity. Trump emphasized the strength of the US response, saying, "We hit them very hard. Every time they hit us, we will respond twenty times stronger." He also warned on his social media platform Truth Social that any further attacks would provoke even harsher retaliation.
The ongoing strikes reflect escalating tensions between the US and Iran, with recent attacks reportedly including a strike on the nuclear reactor in Bushehr and Iranian missile launches toward Jordan. The situation remains volatile as both sides continue military actions and rhetoric.
