Jerusalem Municipality Reverses Decision to Convert Historic Bikur Holim Hospital into Haredi Girls' School

The Jerusalem Municipality has withdrawn its plan to transform the historic Bikur Holim Hospital building into a school for Haredi girls, according to a report by ynet. Bikur Holim is one of 110 monument buildings in Jerusalem, and the municipality has emphasized the importance of preserving it as a historical landmark. In a letter sent by the municipality's legal advisor to the Council for the Preservation of Heritage Sites, it was stated that the eastern wing of the Bikur Holim building will not be used as a school. This reversal underscores the city's commitment to maintaining the architectural and historical integrity of the site.
