Maccabi Haifa Youth Striker Niv Gabay Loaned to Hapoel Kiryat Shmona for Season
Niv Gabay, a 19-year-old striker from Maccabi Haifa's youth team, has been loaned to Hapoel Kiryat Shmona until the end of the current season. Gabay, who developed in Maccabi Haifa's youth system, was part of the club's impressive youth squad that reached the round of 16 in the UEFA Youth League last season, notably eliminating Barcelona along the way.
During the previous season, Gabay made eight appearances in the Israeli Premier League for Maccabi Haifa, scoring two goals, including one in a 4-1 victory over Maccabi Tel Aviv, and providing one assist. He will now join the team coached by Shay Barda to continue his development and gain more first-team experience.
The loan deal aims to provide Gabay with increased playing time and exposure at the senior level as he transitions from youth football to professional competition.
