The Ramat Gan Safari marked the fifth birthday of Tokyo, a young orangutan born at the park, with a special video showing her playing in water to cool off from the heat. Tokyo, born to mother Tana and father Raham, was named following the safari’s tradition of starting cub names with the mother’s initial, and also as a tribute to the Tokyo Olympic Games held the year she was born.
