“Arnon Would Have Done It Again”: New Footage from the Hostage Rescue Operation

Two years have passed since “Operation Arnon,” in which four hostages were rescued from the heart of the Gaza Strip. The operation was named after the commander of the YAMAM combat team that led it, Chief Inspector Arnon Zamora, who fell in the battles at the compounds where the hostages were being held.

Now, members of the team recount the dramatic moments of the rescue, and the commander who was willing to do it again: “The withdrawal was very difficult, everything was under fire.”
