X Launches Built-In Video Editor with Subtitles and Green Screen Features

X, formerly known as Twitter, has introduced a new built-in video editor within its app to enhance content creation tools for its users. According to a report on Gadgety, the editor allows users to edit videos directly in the app without needing external applications. Features include video trimming, automatic subtitle generation, customizable subtitles in multiple languages, and a green screen function. The green screen feature enables users to record themselves with backgrounds sourced from their device gallery or posts on X, similar to tools available on TikTok and Instagram.

X states that videos currently account for nearly half of all views on the platform. The company hopes that the new editing tools will help creators produce higher-quality content entirely within the app, streamlining the creative process. The update was announced by Nikita Beer, X's Head of Product. Currently, the video editor is available on the iOS app, with additional tools planned for future releases. No launch date has yet been provided for Android users.
