Iranian Official Says Recognizing New Regime in Strait of Hormuz Is Only Solution
The head of Iran's National Security and Foreign Policy Committee in parliament addressed recent clashes with the United States in the Strait of Hormuz. On social media platform X, he asserted that recognizing the new Iranian regime's authority in the Strait is the only viable path forward. Meanwhile, Iranian Chief of Staff Habibollah Sayyari responded to U.S. President Donald Trump's statement about ending the ceasefire by declaring that Iranian forces remain fully prepared to respond to any aggression. Sayyari warned that any attempt to deploy forces on Iranian shores would result in severe consequences, describing it as "hell." These remarks underscore Tehran's firm stance on maintaining control over the strategic waterway and readiness to confront U.S. military actions.
