Netanyahu Warns Iran Possesses Chemical Weapons, Poses Global Threat
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu stated in a Newsmax interview that Iran definitely possesses chemical weapons, describing them as an additional threat posed by the Tehran regime. He emphasized that the Iranian government controls about 90 million people, most of whom oppose it. Netanyahu claimed that approximately 80% of Iranians hate the regime, viewing it as a theocratic bully that seized power through force.
Netanyahu further accused the Iranian regime of killing and injuring more than 40,000 Iranians who sought freedom, warning that a government willing to harm its own citizens would not hesitate to use chemical weapons if it had them. He highlighted the greatest danger to humanity as the combination of an extremist Islamic regime with nuclear weapons, stating that this combination in Iran puts the entire world at existential risk.
He concluded by noting that Israel has worked to push back this threat but cautioned that the situation is not yet resolved and it is too early to declare victory.
