Man Killed and Another Seriously Wounded in West Galilee Shooting in Jadida-Makr Village

On Tuesday evening, a shooting incident in the village of Jadida-Makr in the Western Galilee resulted in the death of a man in his 50s and left another man in his 30s seriously injured. Emergency medical teams arrived promptly after receiving the report and provided initial treatment at the scene. The older victim was pronounced dead at the Galilee Medical Center after resuscitation attempts failed, while the younger victim was immediately taken to surgery, with his condition described as serious but stable.

Police forces from the Western Galilee station arrived at the scene to investigate the circumstances surrounding the shooting. They began collecting evidence and conducting extensive searches in the area to locate suspects, though no arrests have been reported so far. This violent event raises the number of victims in the region since the start of the year to 154, highlighting a continuing wave of violence in Jadida-Makr and the wider Western Galilee area.

Residents have previously reported shootings in the village, sometimes involving mistaken identity and harm to innocent people. Despite police assurances to curb crime and improve public safety, the escalation of violence persists in the region.
