Nearly a month after Mohammed Abu Fani's transfer to Red Star Belgrade from Ferencváros, former Maccabi Tel Aviv player Aleksandar Pešić, who played alongside Abu Fani at the Hungarian club, has praised the Israeli midfielder in an interview in Serbia. Pešić described Abu Fani as one of the most serious and important players during his time at Ferencváros, highlighting his significant impact on the team.

Pešić noted that Ferencváros was stronger during his first season compared to the current squad, which he considers weaker, especially after Abu Fani's departure.
