Leading Rabbis Gather in Ajjur for Rabbi Yitzhak Gabra's Annual Memorial Celebration

On the night of the annual memorial (hilula) of the miraculous and holy Rabbi Yitzhak Gabra, leading rabbis ascended to his revered tomb in Ajjur to pray for communal and personal salvation. Prior to the prayers, a festive meal combined with the completion of a Talmudic tractate was held in a specially prepared and ornate 'Torah Hall' for the occasion. The event featured lavishly set tables and musical accompaniment by singer Yitzhak Hagira and pianist Ariel Cohen.

Prominent participants included Rabbi Yoram Seri, head rabbi of Modi'in Illit, Rabbi Shimoni Betzaleli, Rabbi Moshe Abuhatzeira (son of revered sages), Rabbi Yishai Bagrish, Rabbi Meir Gabra (grandson of the tzaddik), Rabbi Aryeh Gabra (great-grandson), and others. Rabbi Yishai Yiftet, the event spokesman, skillfully guided the evening. Public figures such as Eran Rafael, deputy mayor of Ness Ziona, Yehoshua Mendel, deputy mayor of Bnei Brak, Rabbi Moshe Yiftet, director of the Hamaorot educational network, and Shmuel Hazan, city council member of Beit Shemesh, also attended alongside journalists and security personnel.

A particularly moving moment occurred when Rabbi Moshe Abuhatzeira shared a personal story. Initially hesitant to attend due to heavy traffic and logistical challenges, he received a sudden personal invitation by phone from Rabbi Yishai Yiftet. Rabbi Abuhatzeira interpreted this as a divine sign from Rabbi Yitzhak Gabra himself, compelling him to participate in the hilula.

Throughout the day, the Torah Hall operated with abundant refreshments in memory and honor of the tzaddik, hosting numerous classes and inspirational sermons delivered by the distinguished rabbis. The event underscored the deep reverence and spiritual connection felt by the community toward Rabbi Gabra.
