Trump Claims He Prevented Turkey From Joining War Against Israel
During a joint press conference with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan, U.S. President Donald Trump stated that Turkey could have entered a war alongside Iran but that he prevented this from happening. Trump emphasized that Turkey is well aware of Iran and its associated problems and had the option to join the fighting. He noted Turkey's significant military strength and suggested that although Turkey did not join the conflict, it might have been due to his intervention. Trump said, "They could have joined the fighting. They are a country with very great military power. And they did not do so. Maybe they did not do so because of me. But they definitely could have joined the other side."
