Report in Greece: Palestinian arrested in Crete on suspicion of plotting attack on Israeli ship
Media outlets in Greece reported today, Sunday, that a 37-year-old Palestinian was arrested on the island of Crete on suspicion that he was a Hamas member and planned to carry out an attack against an Israeli tourist ship. The suspect is expected to appear in court tomorrow, and he is suspected of having undergone training at a camp in Malaysia, where he learned how to make explosive devices.
The arrest of the Palestinian in Crete is a result of another arrest of two Hamas activists who were detained in Cyprus on suspicion that they were at the same training camp in Malaysia and had received a package with instructions for making explosive devices.
