Tel Aviv Shop Serves Gourmet Ice Cream for Dogs and Unique Alcoholic Flavors
In Tel Aviv, a unique ice cream shop called "Ari Ice Cream" offers a special treat not only for people but also for dogs. Founded by Idan Naim, who opened the first location in 2022 on Ibn Gabirol Street, the shop features a dedicated dog ice cream flavor made with natural peanut butter, developed in collaboration with a veterinarian. Naim explains that his motivation comes from seeing pets as part of the family and wanting to bring joy to them as well.
After the original store was affected by construction related to the light rail and delayed by recent conflicts, Naim reopened a new location at Ibn Gabirol 35 in January 2024. He spent months in Italy studying authentic gelato production, aiming to create high-quality Italian gelato with innovative and unexpected flavor combinations. The shop offers a rotating menu that includes avocado, Bulgarian watermelon, tart tatin, peanut butter and jam, carrot cake with cinnamon and walnuts, and a variety of alcoholic ice creams inspired by beers and cocktails such as Arak Lemon, Bloody Mary, Basil Smash, and Aperol Spritz.
Prices range from 23 to 30 shekels for medium and large servings, with a kilogram costing 125 shekels. The dog ice cream is priced at 33 shekels for a small pint. Naim emphasizes the importance of the overall experience, combining quality ingredients with warm hospitality, drawing on his 18 years of experience in restaurant and event management. While the shop currently does not offer ice cream for cats, it remains a popular destination for pet owners and ice cream lovers alike in Tel Aviv.
