Preparing confit garlic, photo: Noam Zigdon Place the garlic cloves in a very small saucepan. Add the rest of the ingredients and pour in enough oil to fully cover the garlic. Cook over the lowest heat for about an hour, until the garlic softens and takes on a nice golden color. Store in the refrigerator in the jar together with the oil and use for spreads, sauces, pasta, fish, meat, and oven-roasted vegetables. Good luck and enjoy.
