Despite qualifying for the next stage, which begins in August and includes two more windows in November and February, Israel's record now stands at two wins and four losses, significantly lowering their prospects for reaching the tournament. About a year ago, Amos Frishman, chairman of the Israeli Basketball Association, confidently declared the team would qualify for the World Cup, promising to do "everything necessary" to achieve that goal. However, the recent poor performance and the absence of many top players have painted a different picture.

Coach Ariel Beit Halachmi expressed disappointment after the game, acknowledging the team fell short in key areas but praised the effort of those who played. He emphasized the need for the strongest possible lineup in the upcoming August window and insisted the team must continue competing despite the slim chances. The next qualifying games against Poland and Latvia are scheduled for mid-August, and the association faces the challenge of addressing the ongoing issue of key player absences, attributed to injuries and fatigue following a disrupted season that included a pause due to conflict with Iran.
