20-Year-Old Adir Sabag Expands Business Empire with Major Security Tech Acquisition

Adir Sabag, a 20-year-old entrepreneur who gained public attention after acquiring control of the Hapoel Haifa basketball team, is continuing to expand his business ventures. His company, VisionWave, recently signed a memorandum of understanding to acquire a controlling stake in Forsight, a veteran Israeli company specializing in computer vision systems. The deal, valued between $15.45 million and $17.5 million, would give VisionWave ownership of 45% to 51% of Forsight's shares, valuing the company at approximately $34 million, significantly above its market value prior to the announcement.

Forsight develops advanced computer vision technologies, sensors, and obstacle detection systems for autonomous vehicles, drones, and defense applications. VisionWave views these technologies as central to its strategy of expanding its presence in the global defense technology market by acquiring companies with unique technological capabilities. The acquisition is subject to due diligence, regulatory approvals, and shareholder consent.

Sabag, who immigrated to Israel from Tunisia at age six, has become a notable figure in Israeli business over the past year. Despite his youth, he leads VisionWave's operations in Israel and has spearheaded several defense technology deals. His purchase of Hapoel Haifa basketball club also brought him significant media exposure in the sports world. VisionWave has recently raised tens of millions of dollars to fund its expansion and is actively exploring further acquisitions both domestically and internationally.

If completed, this transaction will be one of VisionWave's largest deals in Israel to date and will further establish Sabag as a prominent young businessman in the defense technology sector.
