Itamar Ben Gvir, the leader of Otzma Yehudit and Israel's National Security Minister, has approached Knesset member Tali Gottlieb with an offer to leave the Likud party and join Otzma Yehudit. He proposed a reserved spot for her on Otzma Yehudit's Knesset list, according to a report by i24NEWS on Monday evening. Ben Gvir also reportedly contacted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, requesting that he not insist on Gottlieb remaining in Likud. In response, Gottlieb stated her intention to continue her work within Likud and to strengthen the party. Ben Gvir wished her success in her political endeavors.
