Smotrich Blames Galit Baharav-Miara and Supreme Court for Israel's Constitutional Crisis

Bezalel Smotrich, chairman of the Religious Zionism party, addressed his faction at the start of a meeting regarding the controversy sparked by the government's announcement that it will not comply with the Supreme Court's ruling on the Second Authority for Television and Radio. Smotrich stated that the only parties responsible for the constitutional crisis are Galit Baharav-Miara, the Attorney General, and the Supreme Court judges. He further asserted that Baharav-Miara "should have been in the interrogation room a long time ago." This comment came amid escalating tensions between the government and the judiciary over legal authority and compliance with court decisions.
