Maccabi Tel Aviv is actively negotiating to sign forward Astor Sukler from Serbian club Radnicki, aiming to strengthen their attack following the prolonged injury of Yon Nicolaescu, who will miss the start of the season. Reports from Slovenian media indicated that Maccabi is in advanced talks to acquire Sukler for around one million euros. Club officials confirmed that negotiations have been ongoing for several weeks but have not yet concluded, as the team continues to evaluate other candidates.

The hesitation in finalizing Sukler's transfer stems from his playing style; he is not a traditional number 9 striker but rather a very fast player who excels on the wing. It was revealed that Sukler consulted with Israeli defender Or Dediya, who played alongside him at Aberdeen. When initial talks with Maccabi began, Sukler contacted Dediya to inquire about the security situation in Israel, and Dediya reassured him. Following this, negotiations proceeded with Maccabi representatives but remain open without a final agreement.
