Israeli Security Committee Extends Freeze on Arrests of Absconders Until November 30

The Knesset Foreign Affairs and Defense Committee has published an updated draft law to extend the freeze on arrests of absconders. The original proposal limited the freeze to 90 days, but the revised version extends it to five months, until November 30. Despite the longer official duration, there is no significant practical change, as any law that expires within four months of the Knesset's dissolution is automatically extended until three months into the next Knesset session.
