Knesset to Vote on National Inquiry Committee Bill Following Supreme Court Ruling
The bill to establish a national inquiry committee, proposed by Knesset member Ariel Kallner, is set for a first reading vote in the Knesset plenum tomorrow. This follows its initial approval about three weeks ago in the Constitution Committee. Kallner expects the bill to receive support from the ultra-Orthodox parties as well. The initiative comes in response to a recent Supreme Court decision that halted part of the outgoing State Comptroller Matanyahu Englman's investigation into the failures of October 7 and ordered the archiving of some of the audit work.
