Hapoel Be'er Sheva Beats Omonia Nicosia 2-1 in Final Minutes During Polish Training Camp

Hapoel Be'er Sheva continued their preparations for the 2026/27 season with a 2-1 victory over Omonia Nicosia on Sunday evening at their training camp in Kielce, Poland. The Israeli champions took the lead early through Jibril Diop in the 10th minute, assisted by Kings Kangwa, who along with Lucas Ventura started the match as key players. Igor Zlatanovic doubled the lead just before halftime, also assisted by Kangwa.

Omonia Nicosia temporarily equalized in the 40th minute when Anastasius Chatziovanis converted a penalty after Aliel Peretz fouled him. In the second half, Hapoel Be'er Sheva's coach Ran Kojukh made substitutions, giving players like Marko Wolf and Miguel Vitor some playing time. The match intensity dropped, and Be'er Sheva was less threatening but managed to maintain their lead until the final whistle.

This win marked Hapoel Be'er Sheva's second consecutive victory in their preseason friendlies. Their next match is scheduled for Tuesday against Legia Warsaw, a top-tier Polish team. Following that, the team will return to Israel to face Maccabi Tel Aviv on July 16 in the Champion of Champions match at Toto Turner Stadium.
