Eight Shot Including Four Children During Brooklyn July 4th Celebrations

During July 4th celebrations in Brooklyn's Coney Island neighborhood, eight people were shot in a mass shooting incident, according to New York Police Department reports. The victims include four young children aged 6, 7, 12, and 14, as well as adults in their twenties and thirties. The shooting occurred late Saturday night on a residential street where a crowd was gathered for the holiday festivities.

Police arrived to find multiple victims bleeding and discovered firearms at the scene, but no arrests have been made yet. Authorities are actively searching for the suspects involved in the shooting. Seven of the injured are currently hospitalized in stable condition, while a 21-year-old woman remains in critical condition with life-threatening injuries. The incident marks one of the most severe violent episodes during the Independence Day celebrations in New York City this year.
