Couple Who Survived October 7 Attack in Kfar Aza Marries After Long Recovery

Bar and Eden, a couple who survived the October 7 attack on their home in the Young Generation neighborhood of Kfar Aza, got married this week at Beit Berl. The wedding ceremony was conducted by Rabbi Zion Cohen, who had also officiated the groom's parents' wedding about 30 years ago. During the attack, the groom's father, Erez Yitzkan, was severely injured in both hands and has since been receiving treatment at Sheba Medical Center in Tel Hashomer.

The couple managed to escape their home during the massacre, while many neighbors were killed and numerous houses in their neighborhood were set on fire. After approximately two and a half years of coping and rehabilitation, during which they were also involved in efforts to secure the release of hostages, Bar and Eden decided to fulfill their dream of marrying.

They chose the wedding date hoping that their friends Gali and Ziv Berman would return from captivity, recover, and be able to join their celebration, which indeed happened.
