Neve Yosef Youth Club to Gain Hundreds of Thousands from Anan Khalaily Transfer

The potential transfer of Israeli footballer Anan Khalaily is set to generate significant revenue not only for his current club but also for Neve Yosef, a youth club where he played as a 15-year-old in the 2019/20 season. Khalaily, who grew up in Maccabi Haifa, is expected to be sold for a record fee between 25 and 30 million euros, making him possibly the most expensive Israeli player ever. Under FIFA's solidarity mechanism, Neve Yosef is entitled to 0.0025% of the transfer fee, which could amount to approximately 75,000 euros if the sale reaches 30 million euros, or 63,000 euros if it is 25 million euros. This translates to roughly 216,000 to 257,000 Israeli shekels for the small club, which currently competes in the national youth league.

Anan Khalaily scored 25 goals for Neve Yosef while playing in the northern district of the national league. His brother Iyad also played for the club for two years. Neve Yosef has been a stepping stone for other notable players such as Noam Ben Harush, Nikita Stiovanov, and Omer Dahan. The club was originally founded as a community project for at-risk youth and has since grown to include about 450 children, leading to the appointment of a professional manager.
