Louis Khalaf Negotiates to Join Ironi Tiberias Ahead of 2026/27 Season
Louis Khalaf, a 25-year-old striker who recently ended his contract with Maccabi Netanya, is in negotiations to join Ironi Tiberias for the upcoming 2026/27 season. Khalaf, who made only three appearances last season with Netanya, is expected to strengthen the attacking lineup under coach Eliran Hodeda. He will compete for a forward position with Itamar Shabiro, as the club aims to sign at least one more foreign striker following the departures of Stanislav Blinky to Žalgiris and Peter Michael to Hapoel Ra'anana.
In addition to Khalaf's potential signing, Ironi Tiberias is close to finalizing a contract with defender Ziv Morgan, who left Hapoel Tel Aviv and is expected to sign a one-year deal with an option for extension. Khalaf has previously played for Hapoel Akko, Bnei Reineh, and UTA Arad, with his best season at Bnei Reineh where he started 22 games, scored four goals, and assisted in a playoff match against Maccabi Tel Aviv.
Meanwhile, Ironi Tiberias recently parted ways with Maccabi Netanya in a lively 3-3 draw. Goals for the team from the Kinneret region were scored by Ari Cohen, Gal Ma'atok, and Mansour Badji, all of whom joined the club last summer. The club continues to build its squad as it prepares for the new season in the Israeli Premier League.
