Israeli Social Media Star Kobi Swissa Arrested for Driving Despite Court Ban

Kobi Swissa, a well-known Israeli social media influencer and participant in TV shows like "Goalstar," was arrested on Friday morning for knowingly driving while his license was suspended. Police from the Netanya Airport district stopped his Tesla during a routine check and discovered that Swissa was driving despite a clear court order from the Ashdod Traffic Court banning him from driving. The court had suspended his license on July 2nd, but Swissa continued to operate his vehicle in defiance of the legal prohibition.

Police investigations confirmed that Swissa committed the serious offense of driving while knowingly disqualified, which is considered one of the most severe traffic violations under Israeli law. He was detained on the spot and taken in for questioning, while a passenger in the car was released without suspicion. After the interrogation, Swissa was released to house arrest for five days and was summoned to appear in court.

Driving while knowingly disqualified carries heavy penalties, including potential imprisonment. Israeli courts typically impose strict punishments in such cases, viewing continued driving after a license suspension as a blatant disregard for judicial authority.
