Jerusalem Man Arrested for Storing Explosives, Missile, and Grenades at Home

Israeli police officers from the Moriah station, accompanied by a military police team, raided an apartment in the Ramat Sharet neighborhood of Jerusalem overnight between Thursday and Friday. During the operation, they uncovered a cache of weapons including ready-to-use explosives, a missile, firearms, and fragmentation grenades, some of which were hidden behind dresses in a closet. A man in his 50s was arrested on suspicion of possessing these weapons. He claimed the military equipment belonged to his son, a soldier who had stored it in the apartment. Police stated after the arrest that the man "endangered an entire neighborhood with the amount of weapons he held." The arrested man's son serves in a sensitive security role abroad.
