Man in His 50s Seriously Wounded in Shooting in Daburiyya Amid Rising Arab Sector Violence
Violence in the Arab sector continues to escalate as a man in his 50s was seriously injured in a shooting incident in the village of Daburiyya in the Jezreel Valley. Paramedics from Magen David Adom (MDA) evacuated the victim to Emek Medical Center in Afula. MDA medic Hilal Azayzeh reported that the man was conscious but suffered severe penetrating injuries. He received life-saving medical treatment at the scene before being transported to the hospital in critical condition. Another MDA medic, Eitan Hamo, described treating the man for penetrating wounds to his lower limbs and performing emergency bleeding control and bandaging prior to hospital transfer.
This shooting is part of a recent surge in violent incidents within the Arab community, where 12 Israeli Arabs have been killed in criminal violence over the past week. Among these fatalities, three were caused by car bomb explosions, while the remainder were victims of live gunfire. Interior Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir has pledged to restore law and order in the sector but has yet to implement effective measures.
In a related incident, a man in his 30s was seriously injured in a car explosion in Holon. The ongoing violence highlights the urgent security challenges facing the Arab sector and the Israeli authorities' struggle to contain the situation.
