Eilin Golan Embraces Shabbat Observance Following October 7 Events

Eilin Golan, daughter of Israeli singer Eyal Golan, has opened up about her personal spiritual journey and her decision to observe Shabbat. In an interview with Mako, she credited her mother's partner, Eliraz Sadeh, for introducing her to the religious world. Golan explained that she began attending Torah classes with him, and as he started wearing a kippah and tzitzit and observing Shabbat, she followed suit.

The turning point for Golan came after the October 7 attacks, which she referred to as the "Black Shabbat." She said that the events compelled her to commit to Shabbat observance as a way to pray for the safety of soldiers and the return of hostages. This spiritual change brought her significant inner peace and stability amid her hectic schedule of military service, recordings, performances, and filming.

Golan described her week as a nonstop race until Shabbat arrives, when she disconnects from phones and social life to focus on home, family, books, and synagogue. She concluded by expressing her deep faith, stating, "I believe 100% that Shabbat brings me all the blessings in life."
