Hapoel Be'er Sheva Signs Brazilian Winger Joao Victor for 1.7 Million Euros

Hapoel Be'er Sheva is set to complete one of the most expensive transfers in its history by acquiring Brazilian winger Joao Victor for 1.7 million euros, according to journalist Rudy Galetti. The Israeli champions reached an agreement with Hungarian club Zalaegerszeg, adding various bonuses and a 20 percent future sale clause to the deal. The 22-year-old Joao Victor began his career at Ceara and debuted in Brazil's Serie A in May 2021 before a loan spell at Japan's FC Osaka in the third division. He joined Zalaegerszeg last summer and impressed in his first European season, scoring seven goals and providing three assists in 33 Hungarian league matches. In the Hungarian Cup, he mainly played as a forward, helping his team reach the final with two goals and three assists, including a spectacular bicycle kick goal in added time during the semi-final against Honved, which sent the game to extra time and eventually a penalty shootout victory. This transfer marks a significant investment by Hapoel Be'er Sheva as they look to strengthen their squad ahead of the upcoming season.
