Toddler Critically Injured After Slipping in Bathtub at Home in Harish

A one-and-a-half-year-old girl from a Haredi family in Harish was seriously injured on Thursday afternoon after slipping and falling in the bathtub at her home. Emergency medics from United Hatzalah arrived quickly and provided life-saving initial treatment after the child lost consciousness. She was then rushed to the hospital for further care, with her condition described as severe.

According to the details, the toddler slipped during a bath and fell from a height into the bathtub, causing immediate unconsciousness. Family members called emergency services, who arrived within minutes and began critical medical interventions on site. Paramedics Natanel Yakobi, Shlomo Bar David, and Yosef Sofer, the first responders, recounted the tense moments and confirmed the child’s serious condition upon evacuation.

Medical and safety experts emphasize that falls inside bathtubs are a major risk factor for young children due to slippery surfaces and running water. They urge parents and caregivers never to leave toddlers unattended during bathing and recommend using safety measures such as rubber mats to prevent slipping.
