Mario Hezonja, currently under contract with Real Madrid until 2029 without a European release clause, is reportedly seeking to leave the club. Spanish media align in reporting that Real Madrid may eventually accept a buyout to facilitate his departure. While Hapoel Tel Aviv has renewed negotiations with Hezonja, a new report from Spanish outlet Sport reveals that his preferred destination is Dubai. The report highlights Hezonja's determination to join a team coached by Xavi Pascual, whom he fully trusts.

Hezonja's dissatisfaction stems from Real Madrid's trophyless season and significant behind-the-scenes changes, including the departures of Sergio Rodriguez and Sergio Scariolo. Reflecting his frustration, Hezonja recently posted on his X (formerly Twitter) account, "At this stage, should I write here or record a big TikTok where I shoot fire?" Despite the team's struggles, Hezonja had a strong personal season, averaging 13.3 points, 4.0 rebounds, and 2.4 assists in the EuroLeague, alongside 17.5 points and 4.9 rebounds in the Spanish league's regular season.
