Hotel Staff Saves Toddler's Life With Quick Thinking at Sea of Galilee Resort
Natali Motiai, a mother of seven, was vacationing with her family last weekend at the Stay Kinneret Hotel near the Sea of Galilee. One morning, her toddler son, Moshe Aharon, woke up screaming with a high fever and his face turning blue. Alarmed, Motiai sought help at the hotel reception where Nor Haib, the guest relations manager, immediately sprang into action. Without hesitation, Haib placed the child inside a meat freezer to rapidly cool him down, demonstrating remarkable presence of mind.
In a joint interview on the morning show "HaOlam HaBoker," both Haib and Motiai recounted the incident. Haib emphasized that he did not ask any questions before acting, stating simply, "A baby in trouble needs help, regardless of origin, race, or religion." He attributed his quick response to the values instilled in him from childhood, highlighting a deep sense of shared humanity. Haib also noted the coexistence in the Galilee region, saying, "We live in coexistence here in the Galilee, me, my siblings, my family, and the entire village, and that's how we grew up."
