King Charles Holds Emergency Family Meeting Ahead of Prince Harry's UK Visit

Prince Harry is expected to arrive in the UK around July 7 with his wife Meghan Markle and their two children, Archie and Lilibet. This will be their first visit since the 2022 Platinum Jubilee celebrations of Queen Elizabeth II, during which King Charles last saw his son and grandchildren. Charles has invited them to stay at one of the royal estates, but Harry has yet to respond to the invitation. The upcoming visit has intensified tensions within the royal family.

On Wednesday, King Charles convened an urgent family dinner with key royal figures, reportedly to prepare for the Sussexes' arrival. Behind the scenes, there is concern about the strained relationships, especially between Harry and his brother, Prince William. Sources reveal that William and his wife, Princess Kate Middleton, have kept their doors closed to Harry and Meghan. However, Kate is reportedly trying to persuade William to meet with Harry, Meghan, and the children. A source told Us Weekly that while William currently does not plan to meet them, the situation could still change.

Kate is eager to meet Archie and Lilibet, having had very few opportunities to see them. She is hopeful William will agree but will respect his decision if he declines.
