After the Rumors, This Is Barak Itzhaki’s Next Professional Move
The 2026 World Cup is just around the corner, and the Israeli Public Broadcasting Corporation, Kan, is completing its final preparations for a month of compelling broadcasts with a particularly star-studded lineup of commentators and presenters. The system has learned that the person set to make the next move and join at the last minute the leading broadcast team of Kan 11 is Premier League coach Barak Itzhaki.
Itzhaki, who has completed an intense season on the sidelines, will not enjoy too many days of rest during the upcoming break. He is expected to play a major role in the tournament panels and broadcasts, and will bring his professional analysis and the unique perspective of an active coach to the television screen.
Kan 11’s dream team
Itzhaki’s joining comes after the corporation assembled a broad broadcast team that includes some of the biggest names in Israeli sports. At the head of the team will be Uri Ozan, the channel’s lead commentator, who will call the main matches alongside veteran broadcasters, including Yoram Arbel. Alongside them, Kan 11’s broadcasting and commentary team for the tournament is packed with stars from the worlds of football and media, including Maor Melikson, Osheret Eini, Dor Hoffman, Liran Schkenazir, Byram Kiell, and Dekel Keinan. The person chosen to lead the tournament’s highlight moment and broadcast the grand final is commentator Yehonatan Cohen.
