Ludogorets Stays With Interim Coach Mikael Stahre Ahead of Conference League Qualifiers
Bulgarian football club Ludogorets has decided to temporarily halt its search for a new head coach and will continue with Mikael Stahre as the interim manager. Stahre, 50, took over after the departure of Matias Hugmo and previously led the team to victory in the Conference League playoff against Lokomotiv Plovdiv last season, securing qualification through a penalty shootout.
Reports in Bulgarian media suggest that the possibility of appointing Israeli coach Barak Itzhaki has diminished significantly. Stahre brings extensive coaching experience from his career in Norway with Stabæk and Sarpsborg, Sweden with IFK Göteborg, AIK Stockholm, and Halmstad, as well as international stints in India, Greece, China, and Thailand.
