Yokneam Launches Tender for Cafe or Restaurant in Central Pele Park Leisure Complex
The Yokneam Municipality has issued a tender for operating a cafe or restaurant in a building located at the heart of Pele Park, one of the city's main leisure centers. After several months of adjustments to remove operational barriers, the municipality aims to enhance the park's amenities and provide an additional entertainment venue for residents and visitors. The building covers approximately 500 square meters and features a 120-square-meter terrace overlooking the park and nearby forest, with large glass windows offering natural light and open views.
Previously constructed under a government call but never operated, the site faced challenges such as a small original kitchen of only 6 square meters, unsuitable for food service. Over recent months, the city's engineering, legal, and professional advisory teams collaborated to develop planning and engineering solutions and prepare tender conditions that prioritize economic viability and the best overall proposal, not just the highest financial offer.
The municipality is now inviting entrepreneurs, culinary professionals, and business owners to submit proposals to transform the location into a culinary anchor serving park visitors throughout the day. Yokneam Mayor Roman Peres emphasized the park's vibrancy and beauty, expressing hope that the new establishment will become a key social hub. He encouraged young, creative entrepreneurs with vision to join the project and create a new meeting place for the community and visitors alike.
