Qatar and Iran Discuss Accelerating US-Iran Agreement Implementation and Lebanon Issues in Doha
In Doha, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Kazem Arib Abadi met with Qatari Prime Minister Mohammed Al-Thani to discuss advancing the implementation of the US-Iran agreement. According to the Iranian news agency IRNA, their talks focused on speeding up the memorandum of understanding, with particular attention to matters concerning Lebanon. Following their bilateral meeting, a trilateral session was held including a Pakistani representative. Regarding the start of negotiations for a final agreement, the Iranian Foreign Minister stated that working groups have been established to monitor the implementation of the understanding and to negotiate a final deal, but formal negotiations in this format have not yet begun.
