Israeli Border Police Arrest 13 Illegal Residents Hidden in Bus Compartment at Rantis Checkpoint
During a targeted operation by Israeli Border Police fighters in the West Bank to prevent illegal entry into Israel, forces acting on intelligence from the Border Police Central Unit conducted an inspection at the Rantis checkpoint. Late last night, a suspicious bus arrived at the crossing. A thorough search revealed a concealed door in the bus floor leading to a hidden compartment where 13 illegal residents from Judea and Samaria were found.
The 13 illegal residents, who were staying in Israel unlawfully, along with the bus driver, a resident of East Jerusalem, were arrested and transferred for further investigation to the Kalqilya base of the Border Police Intelligence Unit. The Israeli Police and Border Police emphasized their ongoing commitment to thwart illegal entries, identify those who transport, harbor, or employ illegal residents, and maintain public security.
